Grilled Cheese/Tomato Soup

Two great tastes that taste great together!


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread

  • Several slices of cheese (medium cheddar)

  • Tomato soup (condensed)

  • Milk or water

  • Cottage cheese (optional)

  • butter


Directions


  • Prepare tomato soup to directions on can. Let it heat up while making the grilled cheese

  • Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread 

  • Place first slice butter side down in pan on medium heat

  • Top with sliced cheese

  • Place other bread slice butter side up

  • Flip sandwich when bottom slice is brown

  • Remove sandwich when cheese is melted and bread is browned on both sides


Variations

  • Cottage cheese can be added to the tomato soup, especially if you used water to thin the soup

  • Try different types of bread

  • Thin deli meat can be added to the grilled cheese

  • Try dipping the sandwich in the soup as you eat it!
