Haystack Cookies

Ingredients

  • 16 oz package of chow mein noodles
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 pkg butterscotch chips (11-12 oz)
  • a few Tbs peanut butter (optional)



Directions
  • melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in a large mixing bowl.
    • you can put the bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, until they melt.
    • you can use a metal bowl over boiling water to melt the chips. 
  • when the chips are melted and smooth, stir in the chow mein noodles until evenly mixed.
    • you can use a mixer for this, but it will break the noodles into small pieces.
  • drop rounded spoonfuls onto wax or parchment paper, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes
    • I like to keep mine in the freezer!
