Haystack Cookies
Ingredients
- 16 oz package of chow mein noodles
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 pkg butterscotch chips (11-12 oz)
- a few Tbs peanut butter (optional)
- melt chocolate and butterscotch chips in a large mixing bowl.
- you can put the bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, until they melt.
- you can use a metal bowl over boiling water to melt the chips.
- when the chips are melted and smooth, stir in the chow mein noodles until evenly mixed.
- you can use a mixer for this, but it will break the noodles into small pieces.
- drop rounded spoonfuls onto wax or parchment paper, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes
- I like to keep mine in the freezer!
